Can't believe the sweet is 6 years old. She continues to be a tiny little thing, but with no shortage of nicknames (Sweet, Sweetshop, Lizzy, Lizzy Lamb, Baby Lamb, Tiny, Tiny Sweet, Ada-Buh-gada, etc). Her favorite things are Arts and Crafts. Give her some colored pencils, construction paper, tape, and scissors and you won't hear a peep from her for hours. But her all-time favorite is " Ashes and Fire. But she also loves " Sky full of Stars. She says her favorite thing to do is play with her brother Jay&...

The Ruts: Futbol

Another year of soccer has come and gone. He loves it, and takes it pretty seriously, even if no one else is keeping score. He's made a lot of progress with ball control. Pretty glad the year is over so I don't have to sit in the cold and mud anymore. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Photos hiding in the intranets. This Week for Dinner. The Ruts: June 2014

Put your hands in the air! These kids are peas in a pod. Jay likes to sleep with his hands above his head. And so did Seth. Last week we went on a nice hike out in Issaquah on the Talus Rocks trail. The beautiful PNW outdoors never disappoints. The kids did great despite the distance and elevation. Ada insisted on her own signature hiking gear. Jay just stared up into the trees when he wasn't sleeping in the carrier. He can hit,. Sleepy boy, 3.5 months. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This Week for Dinner.

Love seeing these kids love on Jay. They can't get enough of him. Usually, to the point where Jay needs a little space. They love cuddling him and letting him sleep on their chest. We were lucky enough to have both my and Lindsay's parents come up to Seattle to meet Jay. Was great having them here. So glad they could be here for Jay's blessing day at church. Christmas is so fun with kids, even if they are both a little suspicious these days about the plausibility of Santa's transcontinental trip in one night. This was our best Christmas yet, and the first with Jay. They got new jammies on Christmas Eve night from Grandma and Grandpa Rutman. Here's the spread status post Santa's visit. Ada got a bunch of art supplies including an easel and large paper pad, watercolors, colored pencils, markers, sketching pencils, and a box to keep it all in. The kids love thi...

The Ruts: July 2014
http://theruts.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
It's been a really great summer so far with lots of beautiful sunsets. We went to another wonderful Washington State Park, called Deception Pass. It is a straight located between Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands, about an hour and a half north of Seattle. It really is beautiful. A bridge connects the two islands. The park itself consists of lots of wilderness and includes 10 different islands. The water was cold, but we had a blast and enjoyed the scenery. We hope to explore a bit more when Jay is a bit older.
