Thursday, October 16, 2014. The anticipation was palpable. Time crawled by. Each passing day was noted on the kitchen chalk board. Then, miraculously, the day arrived! Jack was super ecited and he was rewarded with his gift of choice. Given some clever packaging, it still came as a surprise tohim. Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Quinn "moves up" to middle school - Parents go into shock. Quinn is nearly 11 years old and will begin middle school in the fall. The "moving up" ceremony mimicked that of a conventional graduation. Quinn is seen in the video at top accepting his certificate and shaking hands with the principal, vice principal, the superintendent and august members of the board of education. Thursday, June 18, 2015. Quinn joins Dad at Minnewaska. Dad played hooky from work and took Quinn, just a few days shy of his 13th birthday, on an 8 mile ride through Minnewaska State Park yesterday. We were hoping to swim at Lake Awosting but it was a no go. Nonetheless, it was a good ride and Dad feels fairly confident there will be other times. Sent from my telephone machine. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Trip to Puerto Rico. The view from our 10th floor balcony wasn't too shabby. We enjoyed a fine week at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was an excellent resort with plenty of amenities, natural and man made. The grounds were truly amazing and the sea breeze was continuous. I wish you could bottle it. The restaurants did not disappoint. We ate like kings and came home paupers. If I weren't so tired, I'd post more but this will scratch the itch for sure. I think this ...

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Jack earns his second stripe. Jack has really taken to karate. He is typically enthusiastic about going to class. Today, he took a small step toward his next belt. Sunday, April 20, 2014. 3 weeks into dog ownership and all is well. Woody is very much the puppy in all respects but goofy moments like this make it all worthwhile. With respect to the 2 legged animals, they are fine, too. Jack is back into the swing of soccer and the trampoline is back in operation. The boys help with Woody and we all enjoyed his first trip to the vet yesterday. The cat hates Woody's guts and wants him dead. Friday, April 4, 2014. And now that the news has been shared.

Saturday, December 28, 2013. Quinn's first real time with a real tie. The cause for this forced bit of growing up was the sixth grade band winter concert. First, there was defiance, then, resentment.
