KermitFan's "Pad": Christmas 2013
http://kermitfan.blogspot.com/2013/12/christmas-2013.html
Welcome to my "pad." I hope that you get a great glimpse into my life, my thoughts, and my hopes. Enjoy! Thursday, December 26, 2013. Merry Christmas from our household to yours! We've had a busy holiday season, enjoying time with family and some quiet time as "just" the three of us. The holidays have taken on a new energy as we experience the wonder and delight of Christmas with a young child. But then the confusion turned into wonder as he pondered what was under the tree:. Looking dapper for church!

The Phinney Family Grows: February 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Thursday, February 27, 2014. The hangover that won't go away. I also feel like God has a great plan in store for this life and for our family - so I'm putting my faith in this. I know this baby is God's plan since we weren't trying to conceive! Friday, February 21, 2014. Battling the crushing weight of worry. I've been hesitant to even write about this.fear of jinxing myself starts to creep into my head. But then as a Christian I know that I shouldn't believe in the conc...We ha...

The Phinney Family Grows: May 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Yesterday was a very expensive day in our household. First, M2 had lost her Northface jacket last week at preschool. Yesterday I scoured her classroom, the lost and found and other nooks and crannies of the building, but it was nowhere to be found. Not surprising, I'm sure it "walked away" as fancy things like Northface jackets can do. Our fridge was at 59 degrees. Ugh! At the grocery store, someone hit my car and drove away while we were shopping. It ...

The Phinney Family Grows: September 2013
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Friday, September 6, 2013. With it being back to school time, I've seen a few pieces in the news about the "kindergarten redshirt" phenomenon (holding back a child with a summer birthday so that they start kindergarten when they are 6). M2 is very tall. She's always been just under the 100th percentile for height and people often think she is older than she is due to her height. If we hold her back not only will she be the tallest because of her genetics, but also becaus...Ultim...

The Phinney Family Grows: January 2014
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. The hurt of one is the hurt of all. An old friend of mine is a gifted speaker and violinist. When he gives a performance he weaves together stories of his life with beautiful pieces of original music. He often talks about the idea that "the hurt of one is the hurt of all." How intertwined our community is and how it's hard for there not to be a ripple effect felt in the wake of tragedy. All I can do is pray for these families, and pray for those that ...

The Phinney Family Grows: October 2013
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Thursday, October 10, 2013. I hear you God, loud and clear this time. MY recipe won a blog award! This year I volunteered to be a prayer captain in my mom's group, and our prayer groups were randomly assigned to us. That woman? I truly believe that sometimes God has bigger, better plans. Remember 6 months back when I blogged about how we can't all be friends. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. I hear you God, loud and clear this time. The Great Umbrella Heist.

The Phinney Family Grows: J's birth story.
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014/10/js-birth-story.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Thursday, October 30, 2014. I need to get her birth story written down before the details become fuzzy. I was scheduled to be induced on my due date - October 17th (a Friday). The Monday before I went in for my last checkup and my OB said, "You have so much fluid in there, the baby is floating up high. I don't expect you to deliver before Friday - see you then! I am very glad my actual water did not break at home - that would've been a mess! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Phinney Family Grows: Yes, I'm still here.
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2014/08/yes-im-still-here.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Saturday, August 9, 2014. Yes, I'm still here. Has it really been 3 months? Being exclaimed, but his development is so amazing and his communication has far exceeded where we expected he would be at 3.5 years old. He's (mostly) potty trained and we are enjoying this glorious little break from diapers after 5 years. The kids are excited for their sister to come but I don't think they truly understand how much it's going to rock their world. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Phinney Family Grows: November 2013
http://phinneyfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
The Phinney Family Grows. Sunday, November 3, 2013. When your babies are sick. While we were at dinner with friends, I received a text from the babysitter who let me know that P5 was laying on the couch sleeping and that his temp was 105! For the next three nights, P5 slept by my side, halfway on top of me like he loved to sleep when he was a baby. I have felt like a zombie this week because, well, having a 38 lb snoring toddler sleeping on me is not very comfortable! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
