The Olvers move to France. Wednesday, 1 July 2015. June has been the month for hatching baby geese! Our adult geese have turned out to be excellent at laying eggs, but useless at sitting on them. We invested in an incubator, but because conditions need to be simulated, it hasn't been easy to get the correct temperature, humidity etc. However Dave has persevered and we now have 10 baby geese, all of different ages! The oldest ones are now outside enjoying this lovely hot weather. Lesley and Dave Olver.

The Olvers move to France. Tuesday, 1 July 2014. June began with a most enjoyable family reunion and holiday in Devon. It was lovely to get everyone together and to re-visit North Devon. Friends and neighbours very kindly looked after the geese here and watered the veggies in our absence. Both here and in the UK everything seems to be thriving in the warm sunshine and heavy downpours. This year we have discovered chard - easy to grow and very tasty with onions, garlic and pine-nuts!
