Sunday, December 28, 2014. I'm frantically writing this before a two-week-old little girl wakes up and realizes that 1: I'm not holding her and 2: I should be holding her and feeding her pronto. Every noise my husband is making is causing me to hold my breath. We are two weeks in and learning more and more every day. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. When she was first born most of my newborn size clothes were hand-me-downs from babies who were not born in an Illinois winter. I layered what I could and took a lot of joy out of the crazy combinations that came out of that. I approached it the way I used to approach dressing myself - limited pieces, make it fun. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Clean Hair and Make-Up. Today I left the house to go to a doctor's appointment. It worked out that I was able to shower and wash my hair and actually fix my hair before I left. I even wore make-up! I'm not complaining exactly. I get to hang out with this gal and that's pretty great. Look at this cute kid I get to hang out with. She doesn't seem to care that my hair isn't clean so that's nice. I'll keep her. Monday, April 20, 2015. She did finally sleep that afternoon but by then I was too exhausted to try to make my brain be creative so I spent the time cleaning my studio instead. I recently finished this fabric wall hanging and listed it in my etsy shop here. I have been eager to make more. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. This weekend I had the kind of studio time I have been dreaming about for some time now. I worked and worked and was super excited with the results. I have always wanted to learn how to make a God's Eye so I looked up some videos online and finally made my own. I used paper straws for sticks but I'd like to get some dowel rods or maybe even make some with my handmade arrows. This color combo makes me want to eat a bunch of candy. What are your projects? Saturday, April 11, 2015. A toy store came to our house, drank too much, and threw up all over and left without offering to clean up. Friday, May 30, 2014. Yesterday I had my 12 week check-up with my doctor and felt pretty in the clear about finally being able to publicly say out loud that I'm pregnant!
