Living, traveling, enjoying family. Paris, the finale to our trip. April 29, 2013. I haven’t posted for a couple of days so that means I have a lot to remember with this post! Lance can lay on his side of the bed and easily see the tower through our window. In addition, we had an “incident” last night that made us very uncomfortable but I will save that story for when we get home. I will enjoy being home with my own bathroom and hair dryer! We have had a good time, but honestly were a little disappointed...

Lance and Sharon's photos and travels. Lance and Sharon's travels and photos. NCL Jade Mediterranean Cruise. Today we visited Cinque Terre from our stop at the port of Livorno. It was about an hour and a half drive from the port through the Italian countryside. Off to the side we could see mountains (the Alps), but we had a better view of the mountains on the way back. Cinque Terre is actually 5 towns built on hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The wine from the area is very famous in Italy.

Instead of taking an excursion through the ship we had heard that you could get a taxi tour of the island or take the cable car to the top of the Rock on your own after you get off the ship so that was our plan. There were plenty of taxis waiting to offer tours right as we got off the ship but we decided to do the cable car instead.

We are now at day 5 after the storms and things are starting to normalize around here for us, but not for many others. Our power came back yesterday; however, we felt lucky that it was our only real inconvenience. Of course, we also kept one eye and ear on the tv coverage in case we needed to seek a safe place. Blurry but you can see the cloud wall heading our way.

Today we took a tour to Ronda, it is a small medieval town built on a hillside in southern Spain about an hour and a half away from Malaga, the port where we stopped. The views are amazing! On the way back to Malaga we were able to see some of the small towns with summer homes owned by Marielle Hemmingway, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith and other celebrities in the town of Maribella.
