Many have tended their land for six or more generations. Throughout 2012 and May 2013 we have been meeting farmers across Cumbria, joining them on their farms and at sales, shows and other events. Landkeepers Upland Farming in Cumbria, Educational Resource. We commissioned Cumbrian artist Kate Brundrett. To draw a cartoon telling the story of Craggy, the Herdwick lamb. The series of 14 pictures depicts Craggy on the fells and in the farmyard and shows in a beautifully visual way how these iconic Lakeland sheep are managed. It has been a hit with school children.
