Langholm is situated on the A7, 20 miles north of Carlisle and 23 miles south of Hawick. It may be reached by car or public transport. A regular bus service between Langholm and Carlisle station forms part of the Scottish Borders Bus Rail link. This means that Langholm can be easily reached by rail through Carlisle station, which is a major stop on the West Coast Main Line. The current (October 2014) X95 bus timetables can be found here.
