La Cañada Flintridge,. In 1915, Dr. Roy Lanterman commissioned architect A. L. Haley to design a fireproof bungalow of reinforced concrete for his family and the result was a unique architectural treasure. There are many arts and crafts elements in the Lanterman house. It retains its exquisite original interiors and furnishings, including elaborate hand-painted wall and ceiling ornamentation. Groups of ten or more, Tuesday and Thursday mornings (and one Wednesday morning each month) by appointment.
