Saturday, January 22, 2011. Sketches for New Painting. Speaking of new paintings, I've started these sketches almost two months ago but didn't finish them in time for Jill. S wedding (the painting was going to be their wedding present). Soooo.I'm hopefully going to finish it during reading week, and then I can give it to them while I'm back in Toronto. Fingers crossed! Here is the actual composition sketch for the painting (above). This is the close up of the second owl (it'll go in the foreground).

Sunday, August 15, 2010. My first painting in almost a year! Time sure flies, even if it's spent not being productive. (read: underlying guilty conscience). Friday, July 10, 2015. Drawings for our parents. Over the past month, I spent some time making illustrations for my mother and M's parents, for no particular reason (see below). In other news, next week is Ran (the dog)'s first birthday! He is the light of my mother's life and such a wonderful companion that we decided to buy him a cake and celebrate in the park. Sunday, May 6, 2012. A warm Sunday, a birthday, and a painter. This weekend has been super busy. It was E's birthday, so we went out for all you can eat sushi, and then went (again) to Fountain bar afterwards, to hang out and listen to Mr. Furious spin some tunes. Today was a nice warm day, but I was busy running around looking for a new apartment, and was also hung over. Also, the streets were packed with shoppers! Toronto can get totally nuts as soon as the warm weather starts (:. Have a great Sunday!

I didn't mean to be away so long, but school and then my prolonged internship has meant that I haven't been sketching or painting very much this past year (except for my job of course, but is only "inpainting"). Monday, April 21, 2014. Time flies when you're constantly moving. Last year, I moved 3 times (! And it has made me never want to pack another box as long as I live. With all the organizing, packing, moving, unpacking, and apartment hunting, there wasn't much time for drawing or painting. I also changed jobs, enrolled in an intensive French language program, and travelled constantly. What a year! Drawing of our move to Montreal in January 2013.
