Causes my scalp to burn. Atleast i was careful with my nature break. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Sunny days tease me. All day on the porch finishing a math project. No deposits in the bank today. Longer commute on the horizon. Time restraints creates responsibility . Along with the joy of getting out. Epic on the hozion.

Ride some newly cut trails, moist with some puddles. one or two drops. Those drops turn into a down pour. i find a nice conifer tree and squat. out of the rain mostly. Water is filling the corners around me. the trail turns to a river bed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Laps in the N'east. View my complete profile.

Sunday, January 11, 2009. Thats me getting lit up, but hanging in there again. Today consisted of 2 hours of xc skiing with Kris and the dog out at Saxon Hill trails. I love ripping mountain bike trails of nordic skis. Followed up by a nice hour run with the pace being pushed when I could on the drier pavement. For keeping you olympic coverage online still. . Watching country-men turn enemies in the gold heat. Both share the love for the union jack. My interest is perked into this new world.

jjassvt: Winter training Vermont style
http://jjassvt.blogspot.com/2010/02/winter-training-vermont-style.html
Saturday, February 20, 2010. Winter training Vermont style. Nordic trails today to mountain bikers. George and I made the trek over early this morning. Somehow leaving at 8am is no longer early for me. Just like the summer Kingdom Trail Center, the winter trail center is a wood heated cabin at the end of a dirt road. As we rolled in at 10am, there was already a hobo fire started, burgers grilling and beer on the porch. Perfect. Ons Airing out the Endo's gave me loads of traction and control. Lunch time l...

jjassvt: June 2008
http://jjassvt.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 7, 2008. Took a condensed version of my Chittenden County tour today. Cut it short since we finally have summer head and humidity. Also I slipped on a root and shot my knee into the top edge of a Thomson stem, leaving me cripple on the group with what felt like a shattered kneecap. View from the lunch spot. Amazing little trail that no-one visits. Friday, June 6, 2008. Catamount: June 4 2008. One more high-five from Ed and I as he plops down with his mom to ravage a bagel and coke.

jjassvt: September 2008
http://jjassvt.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. The line up for the start had us somewhat confused. Elites, SSs, and then the experts at 2 minute intervals? The race was 35 miles, basically 4 laps on a 8.5 mile loop. Most of the SSers were talking about a neutral lap to warm up and have fun. Not a chance. The course was amazing. Each lap was about 7.5 miles of tight technical Vermont singletrack, with about 1 mile of doubletrack and dirt road. I like these numbers. Into the finsihing loop, look back, have atleast 15 seconds...
