Though these authors were not my clients, they were my friends and I wanted to help them promote their work. In 2004, social marketing had not yet taken off. Reviewers wanted no part in it. And to my surprise and chagrin self-published was a bad word, a one way ticket to isolating yourself as an author. My, how times have changed!

As you know from previous blog pots, my niece Shea, is a big reader who puts even the consummate bookworms, my sister and me, to shame. I usually find her engrossed in very thick books more appropriate for a high-school-er than a third-grader! The Mystery of Lilac Inn. Hey, maybe she’ll grow up to be a book publicist!

I would like to report good news: Dell has taken my complaints to heart and will be shipping me a new system shortly. My case was taken to the escalated issues department.
