Since I was elected it has become clear to me that we, in the North Coast, have a real problem with the lack of sufficient social housing. The new development on Moorburn Road is welcome, but it is less than 20 houses. We need more and we need a lot more. Viking Festival 29th August – 6th September 2009. Link to Festival website. On Friday night the Vikings led a parade along the prom to Aubrey Park, where there was aViking Funeral for Peter Boyle, a sailor who requested his remains be returned to that sea. It was both a sombre and a joyful event, conducted with dignity by the Swords of Dalriada Viking Re-enactment Group. Largs Prom at Sunset, before the Torchlight Procession. The Festival got underway on Saturday with a very good parade .
