Video Submissions for NELCO – Fair Escape
https://fairescape.wordpress.com/2015/06/22/video-submissions-for-nelco
LARPing Thoughts from a LARPer Fair. June 22, 2015. Video Submissions for NELCO. It’s summer, which means that plans for NELCO. Are in full swing. For those unfamiliar, NELCO is the New England LARP Conference, the first all LARP conference in the US. It’s a fairly low key event, so most of the attendees are locals, but I thought it might be cool to get a more diverse (at least location wise) pool of people involved. To get an idea of the variety of topics we cover. Directly or email the NELCO staff.

Larpwriter Blog: Stats for 2010
http://blog.larpwriter.com/2010/11/stats-for-2010.html
Blog of www.larpwriter.com. With Larpwriter creating a larp or a murder party is simpler. Monday, November 8, 2010. For the last post of the year, I've compiled some statistics on the use of Larpwriter during 2010 (as of November 8), one year after its opening. Larpwriter is mainly used in France, then a bit in New Zealand and Canada. There were 47 active larps created. I've only counted the larps with at least 10 characters in order to eliminate all the larps created to test. January 18, 2011 at 6:29 AM.

https://fairescape.wordpress.com/2015/07/08/larp-a-palooza-2015
LARPing Thoughts from a LARPer Fair. July 8, 2015. This past weekend, Ye Olde Commons hosted LARP-a-Palooza, I believe the first event for Ye Olde Commons, but hopefully not the last. Is a LARP-dedicated sites in Massachusetts. I believe it used to be a horse riding camp, until it was bought by LARPers, and now it hosts LARPs nearly every single weekend, year long. (I hear it’s booked solid through the end of 2016.). I learned a new game called Skull. I want to try them all! Had lots of great stuff, incl...

Taking the Black – Fair Escape
https://fairescape.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/taking-the-black
LARPing Thoughts from a LARPer Fair. July 2, 2015. I took a three hour drive into Maine this past weekend to attend the first event of Beyond the Wall, a LARP set in an outpost of the Night’s Watch, North of the Wall, in the. A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones. This guy was on guard duty all weekend. I was fully in-character when I walked down the long dirt road to the main campsite, and the PCs that were there to greet us (and put us through a rather realistic security check) were, too. The highligh...

Floon of Amun – Fair Escape
https://fairescape.wordpress.com/2015/08/04/floon-of-amun
LARPing Thoughts from a LARPer Fair. August 4, 2015. I recently attended a casual get-together, hosted by one of the PCs of. A boffer campaign LARP originally set in WWI-era Egypt, but has twice involved game-wide time traveling to the era of the Crusades and, most recently, Cleopatra’s Egypt. 8221;) But NPCs were welcome as well, and I was curious to hear about all of the various elements of the LARP that I haven’t seen as someone who has mostly been playing bit roles and crunchies. PCs outside of game&...

The Road to Judea – Fair Escape
https://fairescape.wordpress.com/2015/07/30/the-road-to-judea
LARPing Thoughts from a LARPer Fair. July 30, 2015. The Road to Judea. I just recently NPCed at the. Summer one day event. Is one of the local Accelerant LARPs that was originally set in WWI-era Egypt, before the PCs jumped back in time to 1168, then jumped back again to 30 BC. For this event, the PCs traveled to Herodian Judea, which I thought sounded like a particularly intriguing period of history to explore in LARP, so I decided to NPC. Props in Monster Camp: The “Spork” Banner. Return to the Fair.

NELCO 2014 Post Event Report – Fair Escape
https://fairescape.wordpress.com/2014/07/21/nelco-2014-post-event-report
LARPing Thoughts from a LARPer Fair. July 21, 2014. NELCO 2014 Post Event Report. I was back the Chelmsford Radisson (the hotel where Intercon runs) this weekend for NELCO 2014. Prior to the event, I went shopping with our con chair to pick up some supplies — mostly office supply type items, like giant sticky notes, paper and markers. We also picked up a stamp making. From Michael’s put together a stamp to make name badges for the convention. 8221; panel, despite being a panelist. On Saturday, I again we...
