Sunday, 13 November 2011. Padaidh the Deerhound - 13th November. Nothing much to report on the blog front. D and I did go and bag my last Crianlarich hill which was nice. I've lost about 10Ib in weight and boy it makes a difference in dragging myself up a hill! Not been out hillwalking for a good couple of months now and it showed in my stamina levels as I felt quite tired after just 6hrs! That's half of what would normally tire me! Well, that's me finished Uni for the xmas hols and it's exams after xmas so the next few weeks will be spent studying my backside off as I want A's for everything, swot that I am! Tuesday, 31 August 2010. Sea Kayaking - 28th Aug. Then we were shown how to make sure our kayaks fitted, messed about with the pedals in the boat and set off to where we were going to start. It was amazing. It reminded me of being on a really exposed route out in the mountains. There is a sense of space all around you and feel so small and vulnerable. Luckily for us, some nice people had built some concrete bunkers and for some unknown reason these now have various holes in them, making for some nice little bouldering problems. We're far too hardy (or foolish) to let a forecast of snow put us off camping so we set off for Turner Hall Farm Campsite. Got pitched in a relatively sheltered spot after only a minor mishap getting the car stuck in the mud.
