We organise occasional get-togethers for members of the Last Edition Beetle register. We usually book a club pitch at the Leicestershire and Warwickshire VW Club meeting at Stanford Hall. Which is a particularly good show for us. It attracts a lot of aircooled vehicles and their keepers, and is focussed more on the traditional than the customised. It's a very pleasant place to be on a sunny afternoon. It's not as big as the Stanford Hall show, but a lot of our members seem to like it.

This section is all about the life and times of Julie Kinley's LEB, which underwent a no-expense-spared, stripped-to-the-metal, pulled-apart-into-thousands-of-pieces restoration between 2002 and 2008. It was a long, long job, done in fits and starts as time and money allowed. Laugh and cry with us at the unfolding story. May - Jun 2002. Jul - Aug 2002. Test fitting body shell. Nov - Dec 2002. Here's the specification of the Last Edition Beetle model in exhaustive detail - weights, measures, descriptions and all the rest. Much of the information here was taken straight from Volkswagen's original Owner's Manual for the Last Edition Beetle.
