Smiles From Kate: June 2016
http://smilesfromkate.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 June 2016. Thank you everyone for your suggestions, isn't it ironic when you agonise over something then have to take the best available. Actually I really like it, it tones well and contrasts nicely with the plainness of the majority of the fabrics. Here is the full view. The pale fabric looks better in these outside pics than last week. And of course, the obligatory posh pic! I now have 16 blocks sort of finished, two more and I'm halfway through. I say sort of, before joining them, w...

Pedal Sew Lightly: June 2015
http://pedalsewlightly.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 25, 2015. I am Going to A Wedding. Son #1 is getting married this weekend. I am not going to have time to sew or blog. I wanted to take this time to show a quilt that I made for a a sweet couple's wedding in my early quilting and pre-blogging days. The Bride's maiden name has "Bird" in it and so I chose Oh Dear because it was the only current fabric I could find that featured birds that was readily available. I bought my first Layer Cake and some yardage and made up the pattern. Wwwmoobird...

Gallery - Small Makes. Wednesday, 24 June 2015. Remember the Pantone quilt challenge hosted by Adrianne from On the Windy Side. And Anne from Playcrafts. The one that wrapped up way back in April? Well, it's two months late but I finally got started on my Marsala quilt! I started with an oversized Young Man's Fancy block. I first discovered this block while reading a Margaret Atwood novel - quilt inspiration can be found anywhere! What do you think, lovely readers? Lee at Freshly Pieced. I discovered so ...
