Walk 5 minutes to warm up, walk/run 1 mile for best time possible, walk/run remaining time, 5 minute cool down –. 8211; All-terrain walk (and sometimes jog) around my block or to Walgreen’s – Approx. 3 miles. Versa Training Class @ Metro –. 50-60 minute full body workout, strength and cardio in a fun class setting –. Mondays, Wednesdays at 6 pm. Spinning Class @ Metro –. 45 minute all-terrain virtual bike ride to music, in class; hardcore but fun and fulfilling –. Nice to Meet You.

A Journey to Thin-hood. Bad Weeks All Around. A friend posted the other day that she had a bad diet week. We all know they can happen from time to time and I’m no exception – except for me, it was also a bad exercise week. On Sunday, Feb. 13, I did a 5K around my neighborhood because it was so nice out. It felt good, but I must have aggravated an injury in my right leg/ankle/calf. It hurt all week! Usually I like a little good hurt, but this was a little much. Happy Valentine’s Day! It did take awhile, but it happened. And that’s something to keep in mind, being that I’m stuck in another loss rut. So here’s a quick update:. A Journey to Thin-hood. Happy Valentine’s Day! So it’s Valentine’s Day, and by the looks of it, about time to make my monthly update on this blog. Mostly, I’ve been running. Aha! A Journey to Thin-hood. 2-egg omelette with onions and green peppers or mushrooms or a combo of all three. Salad with grilled chicken strips and cucumbers. Lunchmeat turkey rollups with mustard and light mozzarella, warmed over. No-bun spinach and chicken burgers w/ broccoli and cauliflour in light cheese sauce or asparagus cooked in EVOO and sprinkled with salt, pepper and light parmesan cheese. Skim milk (2 cups per day dairy limit). Lightly-salted almonds (about 15). No Sugar Added Fudgcicle (1 or 2).

Since the St. Patty’s run I’ve had some wicked shin splints that have had me sidelined, and in the meantime I’m having trouble staving off sweets. Basically, I’ve blown it and it’s not even noon. So I’m going to crack down on tracking my food on Livestrong.com and I’m going to push hard to drink water and get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily.
