A Grain Of Salt. Whose Reputation Are You Defending? June 11, 2014. With the advent of social media, it is more common than ever to encounter posts and articles by Christians criticizing the flaws / sins / errors / heresies of others who call themselves followers of Jesus. So tonight as I was skimming one such article, this little thought light bulb went on in my brain: “Whose reputation are you defending anyway? Jesus’ or your own? Whose reputation are you defending? A Grain Of Salt. Some Thoughts On Karma. April 29, 2015. One of my favorite Ithaca hippie bumper stickers is the one that says: My karma ran over my dogma . A Grain Of Salt. Confessions of a Church-Basher. August 5, 2014. Yup, I confess … I was a church-basher. When I was in my mid twenties, I went through a phase where I was very conscious of the faults of the church, particularly the denomination that I grew up in – and I wasn’t afraid to share my criticisms of “the institutionalized church”. Here’s the thing … the church is not. Do I bother to let the other person know that they hurt or disappointed me, or do I just pull back from them a bit to prevent it...

A Grain Of Salt. The Most Important Recording Tool. January 27, 2014. There are three absolutely indispensable instruments for producing a musical recording. The first two are located on either side of your head (your ears) and the third, and most important, lies between them. Your ears will inform you what your audible work of art sounds like. Your brain has to interpret what the ears are perceiving, and know what to make of it. Rule # 1 – Great sound begins at the source. When it came time to do backgr...
