I have read lots about how people these days tend to take more frequent and shorter vacations; how the price of gas is deterring folks from long trips. But I have seen a decent number of countries on this Planet. I feel as though I have experienced the best and worst that tourism offers. I feel strongly that tourism can benefit people, places and economies particularly when it is done sustainably with forethought and realistic expectations. Don’t just tell me, show me.
