As I started, Scott and I had seriously discussed divorce, a step we had been moving toward for several long years. It will always be one of the great sorrows of my life that I couldn't stay in the marriage to provide my kids the home they were accustomed to and to prevent the heartbreak the divorce caused them. Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Olives at the market. The next day, we set out driving south to Isola Bella, a small island on Lago Maggiore. Isola Bella is covered by the Palazzo Boromeo and its gardens. The structures were built in the 1600's by Carlo III as tribute to his wife Isabella. The island was simply breathtaking. Monday, April 4, 2011. Throwing "helicopters", maple seed pods, its difficult to see them in the picture, but of course, I love this photo of my boy! A party at the park. who knew we all had such great hula hooping skills? At first I thought they were transporting the porta-potty to a new home. then I realized they just bring it along with them. Last track meet. I'm so proud of her! Just like my grandpa, "I'm gonna whisker you! Handing out bike helmets to the third graders. All lined up, gowned and hooded.

Sunday, August 22, 2010. Our state fair is the best state fair. That's the big boar back there. Its 10 am, where is your cheeseburger? So brave on the skyride!
