Monday, October 25, 2010. We have had the past week off from school. I really couldn't have asked for a better time to arrive, as I have had time to ease into planning, teaching, and getting the classroom ready, as well as adjust to a foreign country, culture, and language. The rest of the week I have spent doing some planning, hanging out with friends, going to the local walking market, and overall enjoying my new city! School resumes again on Tuesday and will begin a busy month!

Monday, June 20, 2011. Upon arriving at the ruins of the old city, we retrieved bicycles and began a scavenger hunt. We had six hours to complete as much as possible. So, off we went! It was certainly fun to see the girls in my group work together to read the map and figure out how to get there. We were given a set of directions to follow and tasks to complete at each location. We had to take a picture of our group doing each task. It ended up being a fun way to explore the ruins of Ayutthaya!

Friday, October 15, 2010. Today is the official two week mark! I can't believe it! I actually feel like I have been here longer than that. I have had a lot of first experiences since my last post. Let's see, I. Taught my first lesson. Rode in a isang tow. Went on a motor bike ride. Learned to use a gas stove. This next week is October break, so I will have a chance to explore the city, hang out with friends, get some planning done, and relax! A little bit more about school.
