Laurie's Craft Corner: Cobweb Doily
http://lauriescraftcorner.blogspot.com/2015/07/cobweb-doily.html
This blog is about my craft projects. Friday, July 3, 2015. I finished the Craftree's Cobweb Doily Tat Along. I used Lizbeth thread in size 20 in colors 112 Carousel and 684 Leaf Green Medium. The pattern is "Cobweb Doily No. 8150" by the Spool Cotton Company. The pattern can be found Tatting Doilies and Edgings. By Rita Weiss and Tatting Book No. 111. By the Spool Cotton Company. It's a nice, easy doily. In size 20 thread, it's 5 1/4 inches wide. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Le Blog de Frivole.

This blog is about my craft projects. Sunday, May 4, 2014. This is the second bib I signed up to make. It's also reversible. The machine embroidery design was from Embroidery Library. Thursday, May 1, 2014. A bib for Tori. It's reversible. The green side is terry cloth. It was super simple to make and probably took less than an hour to make from start to finish. Laurie's Craft Corner: September 2014
http://lauriescraftcorner.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
This blog is about my craft projects. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. I had a fantastic time at Tat Days this year. I was able to get several more books, thread, and plenty of bobbins. I got one of the Shuttle Brothers double bobbin shuttles. I also got to look at the Handy Hands post shuttle with hook. I bought two to try out. I think I'll still prefer the bobbin type for ease of changing thread color and size. I can't wait until next year. Next year's theme is Angels. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

This blog is about my craft projects. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. I made the quilt block (on the left) which will be part of a Project of Doom quilt to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation fill a little girl's Harry Potter dreams. I'm also knitting a beret in Gryffindor colors for her. I'll post a photo when that is done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 2016 Crazy Quilt Journal Project. 25 Tatted Motif Challenge. LovelyKnits: September 2012
http://lovelyknits.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Wednesday, September 12, 2012. It's perfect for those chilly autumn days when you want to just curl up with a shawl and a book. I used similar construction to a triangular shawl, but made it with three sections instead of two. It stays on my shoulders much better, and has a lot more fabric to wrap around myself. I designed this with Knit Picks' new bamboo blend in mind. I think it will look amazing in Galileo Yarn. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Saturday, April 27, 2013. Aslan has defeated Jadis again! I have been feeling recently like I live in the place where winter never ends(Jadis-era Narnia perhaps? I would plant my garden now, but I'm leaving tomorrow to go visit my family in Kansas! Kansas, where it's almost summer already. Maybe when I get home in a couple weeks, there'll be some leaves on the trees. ☻. Monday, April 15, 2013. Harmony is not pictured on the cover, but is inside. Friday, April 12, 2013.
LovelyKnits: March 2013
http://lovelyknits.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Tuesday, March 26, 2013. After the t-shirt upcycle I did in a previous post, I came up with a crazy idea. I wondered if I could combine the technique with the knitting technique of cabling. I had to wait until I could get to the thrift shop to get a junky old t-shirt that I wouldn't mind ruining. The thrift shop near here is only open on Tuesdays, so I went today and found an XL tunic-length t-shirt. So, if you want to try this out, you'll need:. 8594; sharp scissors.

Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Oh, hi there! It's been a while! I didn't mean to, but I ended up taking the summer off from blogging. I also took the summer off from knitting, and schooling my kids. I helped our contractor in the basement, and schlepped the kids to summer sports, and not much else got done. It was a busy summer. Today is our first day of school. So here's our "back to school" picture. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I knit. I design. I sew. I buil...
LovelyKnits: Halfway
http://lovelyknits.blogspot.com/2013/06/halfway.html
Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Thursday, June 6, 2013. So yeah, it's been a while. Since my previous post, I've finished a few projects, started a few more, taken a trip to Kansas to visit my family. and reached the halfway point in my weight loss journey! That's right, I've lost 30 pounds! Here is me, at 150 pounds, on June 1st. I'm liking my legs much more this year, so I'm planning on wearing a lot of shorts this summer. And shorter shorts than I used to wear too! View my complete profile.

Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Oh, hi there. again! So I'm still here. I didn't realize it had been this long since I'd done any blogging. Looks like I need to update a bunch of things around here. First of all, my girls are now 13, 10 and almost 8. We're still homeschooling, and loving it. We still live in the middle of nowhere in North Dakota, but we're trying to have a good attitude about it. January Socks for my sister. Slippers for Princess - February Socks. My Patte...

Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Friday, May 3, 2013. My Unconventional pattern is up! This pattern comes with two versions; both use short rows for shaping, and one has cables. It's a tricky pattern, and not for the faint of heart. If you choose to knit it, you should first have a solid grasp of cabling and short rows, as well as reading your knitting. Because it's very easy to get confused. Is available on Knit Picks, for $4.99. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Knit one, read two.

Welcome to my mostly-knitting blog! Friday, February 22, 2013. Too busy to blog.until now. Well, hi there! I used some lovely Malabrigo Sock yarn in "Velvet Grapes", and my own pattern, Hunter Socks. I made these ones a little longer in the leg than the original green ones. They're very soft and comfy, and are making my aching feet and ankles feel a little better. Friday, February 8, 2013. So this past Sunday, I asked a Facebook friend (who is a Zumba instructor) if she had any recommendations for Zumba ...

This blog is about my craft projects. Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Tat Days 2017 - Florida Chain Gang. The theme for this year's Palmetto's Tat Days was Tat-a-Con and they were going to have a costume parade at the banquet. A friend and I decided that Con must be short for Convict and made out costumes accordingly. My friend made the convict hats and came up with the ball and chain. There's a ball of tatting thread in a plastic thread holder and I tatted a chain for the handle. The photo is a bit blurr...
