Weblog of the Forestal Order of Woodwoses. Each qualified Woodwose is supposed to submit a report for the benefit of future aspirants. 3 Responses to “Woodwose Reports”. August 1, 2011 at 7:58 am. We’d estimated completing this challenge in about 14 hours. We knew from previous experience that we could do faster but didn’t want time hanging over us as is the case with other organised events. Plus we wanted to take a moment at the numerous kissing gates on route. August 1, 2011 at 9:07 am. You are comment...

Weblog of the Forestal Order of Woodwoses. Yesterday, Pete de Boer and I completed the Green Man Challenge in 9hrs 33mins. My Garmin registered 44.75 miles at the finish. Our main fuel was dietician Sue Baic’s homemade isotonic jungle juice, of which I personally consumed 4 litres from my Camelback. (Pete had a waist bottle.). We are looking forward to helping you with your attempt! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. JPC: A few wor...

Weblog of the Forestal Order of Woodwoses. I was looking forward to it for ages! Pretty much since I was handed a flyer for it at the Rowberrow Rabbit Race. I was mainly interested because of a couple of inter-related reasons:. 1 I’d never run anywhere near that far before. 2 It was being run in a group, with a number of runners who know how to run long distances and take food ‘on board’ (and I’ve never done that). 3 There was support along the way. The support checkpoints are crucial! Woodwose 7’s...
