Leading A Guild

Saturday, 2 January 2010. After 12 months of posts I've decided to pack in blogging on Leading A Guild. As hinted at in the Introduction. I've had a tonne of support from fellow writers and guild leaders, alongside a load of wikis plugging the site. Thank you everyone and you're always free to e-mail me. If you'd like to get in touch. Furthermore, specific plugs go to The Pink Pigtail Inn. Peace to all those people I sourced pictures from! Posted by Pierre Goldbloom. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Leading A Guild: October 2009

http://leadingaguild.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 20 October 2009. Danger Of Folks Going Solo. So the beloved WoW. Blogger Greedy Goblin wrote a post. At the end of last month talking about how players don't really need to join a decent guild to get gear any more. Instead, it could be beneficial for many folks to simply /gquit and start PuGing (Pick-up Grouping) with others, so long as everyone in these so-called 'independent' raids play competently. I totally agree with him. Moreover, this is a prime time for guild leaders. Are the biggest dea...

Leading A Guild: November 2009

http://leadingaguild.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, 19 November 2009. This month's second article comes from the awesome Dom Sacco from. And I've done an article for him. In return. I hardly touch upon class leading with. LAG and fortunately Dom covers the subject really well. It's mainly aimed at. World of Warcraft players but there's words of wisdom here for everyone. Over to Dom! This is my story as a rogue, Bluestreak. Not in the slightest. Was it fun? 1 Divide To Conquer. I strongly advise you assign one person as a class leader for each ch...

Leading A Guild: September 2009

http://leadingaguild.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 9 September 2009. Attachments, Part Two. In the past I've made a big point. Out of getting attached to your guild members. Rather, you need them. There have been instances in the past where guild leaders have lost all sense of reality and fallen in love with their members. It's expected that you become somewhat parental regarding your guild, but there's always one or two folks who take it too far. Remember ages ago when I made a fairly poor analogy. Don't Facebook-stalk your members! Well the ...

Leading A Guild: May 2009

http://leadingaguild.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, 28 May 2009. You may wager so, but that way of thinking leads us down some very dark paths indeed. When we begin to judge raiders as lifeless loons who can only get off by fighting giant vaginas, then what does that make us guild leaders? GIANT VAGINA, EYEBALL, OR AN OLD GOD? Talking about how to motivate your members, but these guys only need a specific goal to get themselves in the mood. That's all. This is a 'Raider'. He's angry because you play a Paladin, DON'T YOU! Close to nearing their l...

Leading A Group - LEADING A GROUP A PRACTICAL and COMPREHENSIVE HANDBOOK

A PRACTICAL and COMPREHENSIVE HANDBOOK. AN INTRODUCTION. WHY GROUPS? The networks that society used in the past such as the council of elders within a tribe, family units spanning three generations in the one household or family and close relations living within walking distance of each other, are old networks that are disappearing. For steady emotional growth something must replace them. We seem to have found a way to address this important unmet need: support groups. My aim is to provide a brief outlin...

Leading a Healthy Life

Leading a Healthy Life. Thursday, March 8, 2018. Pour Painting Made Easier. We did Pour Paint Art at the Stroke Recovery Art Group last month. I wrote about how much fun it was with Girl Guide Leaders. And I wanted to be able to do it with other groups. I tried it out a couple of times to figure out how to make it a little easier for our groups. 6 - 8 cups per participant (disposable cups are okay but should be more solid and not squish too easily). I made sure everyone had an old shirt or apron on.
