It seems like every year a new plant springs up in the rhubarb zone of our back yard. Most prairie gardens, especially in rural areas, just don't seem complete without a decent patch of rhubarb. Right after Naw-Ruz / Easter weekend, we flew to Ottawa to attend the wedding of my dear friend Nousha Etemad to Vargha Ram. We arrived the day before so we had a chance to rest a bit and be tourists. We visited the Parliament Buildings, specifically the main building that contains the House of Commons and the Senate, as well as the Peace Tower shown here. Did I mention that Ottawa had a lot of snow?

We were married on 7 August 2004 at East Longview Hall, a lovely little country hall about 20 minutes’ drive west of High River, in the foothills of Alberta. It had rained quite heavily in the morning, but thankfully stopped several hours before the wedding, so we were able to have the ceremony outside, as we had hoped. Thursday, July 8, 2010. OK so my baby is 2 months old today and I can't believe it's taken me this long to update! Let me just say I have been so busy! This is going to be a LONG update so feel free to skip around :). I was being admitted to have a baby at 9pm! My contractions really started to pick up then, and things started to move along. I was so upset because I was so ready to have this little guy! I had finally called Rachel to show up to be here to do the birth pictures and I was sitting at a 6!

Friday, April 3, 2015. This run down of symptoms is less than comprehensive. There have been many other things that have come up in Jacob's 5 years of life that have screamed, "SENSORY! I often let good old mommy guilt get the best of me because I saw the red flags all along. I mean, I have a Master's in early childhood special ed for pete's sake!
