Freeride NW: November 2011
http://freeridenw.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Exploring mountainboarding freeride spots in the North West. Tuesday, 29 November 2011. I just thought I would give a quick shout-out to Brennig Hughes who put together one of the best Freeride videos I have seen recently (props also go to Travis “Headcam” Birdsall). I might be slightly biased seeing as I was riding with them at the time and it’s the proposed run for the 2012 England leg of the ATBA Downhill Competition.but screw it, we need all the good vid's we can get! Tuesday, 15 November 2011. Lucki...

Freeride NW: December 2011
http://freeridenw.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Exploring mountainboarding freeride spots in the North West. Tuesday, 20 December 2011. On Friday my NoSno turned up and after 15 mins of tearing open wrapping and checking everything out, I’ve got to say I am seriously happy with the purchase. Everything was in great condition and the only niggles are that two of the 9’s have slow punctures and some of the ratchet springs have gone on the NoSno soft bindings – nothing that I cant fix. My first ride of a NoSno.in snow. Oh the irony. I managed to get a fe...

Freeride NW: February 2012
http://freeridenw.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Exploring mountainboarding freeride spots in the North West. Wednesday, 15 February 2012. Scouting – Anglezarke Moor. Back to the Anglezarke area and this time I was looking around the area north of Anglezarke Quarry. The OS map showed a few paths that appeared to be fire tracks/private roads that appear to be going down the hill, as well as some patches of woodland that I hoped would have potential. There is an obvious car park near the area, so I parked up and went for a wander. In a larger map. So per...

Mountainboard Derby: Week 10 Roundup
http://mountainboard-derby.blogspot.com/2012/06/week-10-roundup.html
What We Can Offer. From my original plan. Conceived way back at the start of the year - to ride Monday evenings as often as possible, seems to be going well so far. As a result of this, over the course of 10 weeks we've seen an average of 6 people riding per session with a huge 14 in mid May! On the 4th June, I was the only one out that evening. On this occasion, the original plan was reverted to: If no-one had pre-booked a lesson, no interest had been shown on Facebook. So, then plan from now on in?

Freeride NW: January 2012
http://freeridenw.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Exploring mountainboarding freeride spots in the North West. Tuesday, 17 January 2012. The Macclesfield Freeride meet was last Saturday and it was a great day with a phenomenal turnout (for mountainboarders.). I’m not sure if it was because it is now an annual thing, a great way to get in the first ride of the new year or if freeriding is getting more popular…but there was a definate buzz about this meetup that we need to keep throughout the year. Tuesday, 10 January 2012. On a side note, I was out last ...

Exploring mountainboarding freeride spots in the North West. Friday, 4 May 2012. Remolition Roadtrip - Friday Morning. Early start, empty M6 and mountainboarders without a sat nav means that I've got time to kill. Soon heading off to Livingston skatepark where my NoSno on 9's, brake and snowboard boots will obviously do me well! Luckily freeriding to follow. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Freeride NW: Remolition Roadtrip Roundup (well - my bit at least)
http://freeridenw.blogspot.com/2012/05/remolition-roadtrip-roundup-well-my-bit.html
Exploring mountainboarding freeride spots in the North West. Thursday, 10 May 2012. Remolition Roadtrip Roundup (well - my bit at least). As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Remolition guys are having a roadtrip from Lands End to John O’Groats and are trying to get in as much riding as they can on the way. Even better – they are doing it for charity. A bit of classy vandalism and a sweet photoshoot later and we headed to Edinburgh Bings. I had no idea what Bings were.I tried googling them but ...I was...
