5 Prayers That Will Change Your Life. January 10, 2017. But then there are other life-changing, life-giving prayers along the way. Like this one:. Make me hungry and thirsty for more of You. As my hunger and thirst for Him grows, He satisfies them through His Word, through good teaching, through great music and awesome books. But mostly, He satisfies my soul by allowing me to know Him more, to grow in Him. I don’t love . But You do. Show me them through your eyes. I can’t do this. So, Father-God,. But ev...

December | 2016 | learnedalongthewayblog

https://learnedalongtheway.blog/2016/12

December 20, 2016. How did Joseph feel when the census was announced? Did he remember the prophecy about Bethlehem? How did Joseph feel when he couldn’t provide for his little family? Didn’t even have a spot for his wife to give birth? Who attended Mary while she, a virgin, gave birth? Was there a midwife? Or was it only Joseph? How long was she in labor? And how scared was Joseph? Did Jesus look like Mary? Or anyone else in his family line? Were those shepherds the only ones in the hills that night?

Smoke Detector Grace | learnedalongthewayblog

December 6, 2016. It happened again last night. I was in over my head quite literally and He saved me. This time it was the smoke detector in my bedroom. I heard the first ominous chirp signifying the dying battery as I was contemplating what to have for dinner. And the process thereafter went something like this:. Figure out which of the four detectors clustered in the bedroom hallway is chirping. Pray and ask God to reveal which one it is because I can’t figure it out. He answers, making it clear.

January | 2017 | learnedalongthewayblog

https://learnedalongtheway.blog/2017/01

8220;Tell them…”. January 31, 2017. I asked God what I should write about in my blog today. And He replied, Tell them that I love them. And I said, But God, that message feels too simple for these complex times. And He replied, Tell them that I love them. So I asked, Who is ‘them’, Lord? And the list goes on. The abused or neglected child just down the street. Those who claim the name of Christ. And those who do not. The politicians you like. And the ones you dislike. The people you agree with. For all o...

LOVELY THINGS

Sunday, January 16, 2011. ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Luminance Review. This highlighting powder is soft and almost creamy in texture. It applies flawlessly - almost as if there is no need to build it up or buff it out. It's a very pale, neutral champagne color. The shimmer is not pink like most highlighters, but more or a goldish tone. It's very natural - a quality I love. Without and with the "bronzer" applied to the bridge of my nose, cheek bones, chin, eyes and above the brow. Here are two ph...

Lessons Learned Along the Way

Lessons Learned Along the Way. Monday, November 21, 2016. Lessons from Hacksaw Ridge. We went to see the movie Hacksaw Ridge. I really wanted to watch it but then again I didn’t because of the nature of the content. If you haven’t heard of the movie, it chronicles the story of Desmond Doss who was a conscientious objector and medic during the battle for Hacksaw Ridge (Japan) during World War II. It was hard to watch. War is always hard to watch. I can’t stop thinking about Doss’s story. Doss was a man of...
