BACON! - Subtitled Tamarinne

Oct 13th, 2010 at 11:48 AM. When Zingerman's says they'll send me bacon in 5 to 7 business days, apparantly what they mean is that their honor demands that I not be without bacon for more than 24 hours. Yesterday afternoon I thought, we are almost out of bacon. This morning I am blessed with an abundance. 8 comments Leave a comment. Oct 13th, 2010 06:04 pm (UTC). Jul 2nd, 2013 09:45 am. Random Question #1: Do you like peas? I dohowever, I have to confess I like the growing and prepping of them more than I actually like eating them. As each pea came loose and fell into the bowl. Eww, don't use your fingers! 2013-07-02 07:15 pm (UTC). Peas *are* fun :) They are actually one vegetable I prefer the frozen or canned version of to the fresh, though. I know, I'm weird. 2013-07-02 09:25 pm (UTC). 2013-07-05 01:46 pm (UTC). 2013-07-02 08:18 pm (UTC). Frozen pees, the slig...

Oct 4th, 2010 at 9:33 AM. Lovely weekend - Saturday included Fry Crawl, which was an ill-fated attempt to zero in on the best french fry in Chicago. Sadly, the first two places didn't open until late, and the line outside Hot Doug's took about an hour (thank goodness we had warm blankets in the car! Still, we did get french fries cooked in duck fat, and had a great time - the right crowd makes everything fun. Sep 28th, 2010 at 9:47 AM. I commented to Rick last night, I love cooking squash! As You Like It - Jehan du Lac. 22 January 2012 @ 10:16 pm. As You Like It. I realize that it is probably impossible to convey to a modern audience the sexual frisson that an Elizabethan audience would have experienced with the boy-actor-dressed-as-as-a-woman-dressed-a. S-a-boy scenario. Theres a mindset that we cant recreate. Even so, there is a lot of interest to explore. How does one man up with doublet and hose and play that part? How does that war with innate nature? What is innate and what is a role?

Mar 21st, 2011 at 9:20 AM. This is a very interesting visualization of radiation, both from manmade as well as natural sources. Note that this was done by a layman, and he makes no assertions about it being perfectly accurate. Http:/ blog.xkcd.com/2011/03/19/radiatio. 1 comment Leave a comment. Mar 21st, 2011 09:02 pm (UTC). I like the page he links to by his friend, for its slightly deeper discussion of dosage measurement. The presentation, however, is much better in his chart. 1 comment Leave a comment.
