Monday, February 9, 2015. 6 is the ability to leap up from bed, half-run down the stairs and butter yourself some bread, turn on the cartoons and enjoy some alone time before the rest of the family wakes up. Except you can't tell time and it's only 4 in the morning. 6 is when you teach your little brother minorly naughty words like "booty," then become enraged when he lobs that same word at you repeatedly on the 2 hour car ride home from the zoo. The next month is a big one for our family and it will soon be the end of our lazy summer: a beloved neighbor girl (and near-constant summer companion) moves away, Matthew and Noah are headed to Utah to build a friend's mountain cabin, leaving Ezra and me at home for almost 2 weeks.
