learning the market

I'm learning how to invest my own money in the stock market. Wisely. I actually started investing last July and didn't do it right at all. This year I'm going to try and fix some of my mistakes and learn how to be wiser with my money. I would love to hear from people who want to learn along with me, have some advice, or are going through the same thing. Irene's stock club.

learning the market: Where is the outrage?

http://learningthemarket.blogspot.com/2010/08/where-is-outrage.html

Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Where is the outrage? In other words, I will not have the retirement that my parents have. And neither will most other people. My retirement situation, according to most people, is supposed to be great. "You're a teacher.your bennies must be great! Nooooooo, they are not, just like everyone else's, they suck. Why is our generation not outraged that we will not have the pension, social security, health benefit, and status of living that our parents have? In the end, when we are 70...

learning the market: August 2010

http://learningthemarket.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 16, 2010. I have decided that the problem with many current policies is that we are trying to save what some people call the lowest common deonominator. This is a phrase that I've heard a lot recently to explain those people that need the most help. It's kind of a degrading term, don't you think? Degrading or not, I think that this may be the problem with our current government. Links to this post. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Where is the outrage? Why are we not demanding pensions? learning the market: my budget is killing me

http://learningthemarket.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-budget-is-killing-me.html

Wednesday, July 21, 2010. My budget is killing me. I put together a budget and decided I was going to stick to it for the month of July. It seemed comfortable. I was going to try it for this month and tweek as needed. Not even a week after I create it I forgot to add my car registration and inspection stuff. $285 dollars to reregister and inspect my car. Does anyone have a budget that works for them? I want to save $500 a month but it's starting to look impossible.help. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

learning the market: Emergency Fund?

http://learningthemarket.blogspot.com/2010/07/emergency-fund.html

Thursday, July 29, 2010. I don't have an emergency fund, do you? We all know we need one but many of us don't have one. Can I call my 'mad money' stock account an emergency fund? This is the problem I have and so do soooo many others. There is an insurance survey out there that says 50 percent of us have less than one month's expenses saved for an emergency. That's what I have; one month. How do we fix it? I am a teacher with a second job. After taxes and all the other stuff they take out of my check...

This WordPress.com site is an attempt to sort lessons out. July 28, 2013. When she first told us she would be leaving us, I wanted to hold her tight and never let go. She stiffened when I tried and I knew then she was gone. I don’t give up easily so many heated conversations followed before that final ugly night when it all blew up and she was really gone. In the waiting not a day that goes by that I don’t think of her. Do I worry? May 16, 2013. She told me to stop being a victim! I thought of Brian Bank...

Please view a 6-minute video clip on a presentation by Polish designer Jacek Utkok on the importance of newspaper design by clicking here. Learning the Midwifery Way

Learning the Midwifery Way. Living life and figuring it out, one little piece at a time. Friday, 31 October 2014. I just found this in my archives. I wrote it back in March, and meant to publish it, but didn't! How weird is that? Anyway, I read over it and felt like it could still be useful to people so here it is, more than 6 months "overdue" :). And now here I am almost done, with a lot to say and very little capacity to actually say it. Whether its exercising, or snuggling up with a good book, or what...
