A Hess in the Holy Land: My Sojourn in Jerusalem. Friday, November 5, 2010. Ring the Bells of Freedom! Here’s a picture (there was a little boy drunk out of his mind across the street, by the way- grotesquely poetic):. Think about the conflict in the Middle East as you read the song. I’ll put some words in Mr. Jovi’s mouth and say that Jesus’ influence is implied in these verses ;). Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Or http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? I have walked all alone On these streets, I call home. I'm a...

A Hess in the Holy Land: My Sojourn in Jerusalem. Monday, October 25, 2010. 25 Oct 2010: concluding a bomb.com week. Wow, what a week! We've been pretty busy! I suppose there's no need for small talk so I might as well jump right into it:. 1) snorkeling in Eilat; we took a bus early in the morning down to the Gulf of Aqaba and spent the day swimming! I love french fries, and I miss them desperately. Thus they tasted wonderful! I also walked along a weird (and long! And of course the grape juice bottles l...

http://maddieminer.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. So long, July. I wish I could tell you I was on the right. Pretty sure I heard life plans are overrated, anyways. Monday, July 25, 2011. Life on L Street. These are my roommates. Yep, all of them. Ok, minus the missionaries and professor spouse. But they're around a lot too. It (unexpectedly) hit me tonight, during our very entertaining Barlow Center variety show,. That these bright people are my last fellow BYU adventurers. I had a roommate. And learn about,. And the far right is ...

HELP International Guatemala 2009. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Buying toothpaste and it says 14 Q. Response: "What the heck? 14 bucks for toothpaste? Oh wait, that is only like 2 dollars. You walk down the block and there are dogs everywhere! Then, you look on top of a house and the dog is just chilling up there. How do they get there? There are many that seem to like that spot :). That is part of the experience. Bus drivers are, by far, the best and worst drivers! Do NOT ask for the menu! THERE IS NO MENU!

HELP International Guatemala 2009. Tuesday, May 27, 2008. This week in Chimaltenango. Well, all is well in our little green and pink house. Every night the street urchins come out and play some soccer with us in the street, and we've taught them how to pound the potato fist hand grenade style after a goal is scored. We are all happy and most everyone is healthy with the exception of Nicole who has had a recent bout with jungle fever. Posted by A few words describing Guatemala. Monday, May 19, 2008. 183; ...
