If this is your first visit, irasshai (welcome). For context, please read the preface at the page’s bottom. Hamatonbetsu, Hokkaidō 浜頓別町. Hamatonbetsu is a slice of heaven with 4,000 lucky inhabitants, of which I am one. As you can see it is located in the far north of Hokkaidō. Filled Lake Kutcharo that’s a Ramsar Site. And some of the best food in Japan, especially the scallops. I’ll let you know how spring goes when I get there. If you want an up to the second view of life here, look at the web cam.
