We crossed the border into Western Australia, and went through the rigmarole of having the van and 4wd searched at the Quarantine Checkpoint before continuing towards Kununurra. Thursday, August 13, 2015. We booked our tour several weeks ago with Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures. We were taking the full day tour from Broome. The 86 km dirt section took us 1 1/2 hours to complete. Leaving Beagle Bay we continued north to Kooljaman Resort for a hot breakfast in their restaurant overlooking the western beach. Monday, August 10, 2015. We refueled and then visited the Halls Creek tourist information centre asking about a dump point for our toilet cassette. We thought that the local caravan park could possibly have one but were surprised to find out the nearest one was 117 km south. Luckily we were heading that way otherwise we would have to dig a large hole and bury the contents as we have done in the past. Saturday, August 25, 2012. The past week has been spent doing a final shop before packing the van and filling water tanks for our trip. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Mount Isa to Longreach. We are on our way to Bouila. We plan to camp on the Burke River just out past the race course. The Diamantina Development Road consists of a single strip of bitumen with the occasional double lane for overtaking purposes. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Keep River National Park. After leaving Timber Creek we traveled for 182 km this morning before turning north just 3 km short of the West Australian border onto another dirt road as we entered. Keep River National Park. We based ourselves at the. Campsite and were lucky to get one of the better parking bays as the people who were on this particular site were about to leave. The park is quite small in size but some of the spectacular rock formations, make up for the parks small size.

Friday, August 21, 2015. We left Broome heading east towards Derby a further 220 km away. We had already booked a site at the Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park for two nights. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. After picking the van up from the factory we remained on the Sunshine Coast for several more days before leaving on Sunday 18th May.
