Fiber/Wool Processing for the small homestead, fiber artist, and hobbyist. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. So what are some of the characteristics of wool you want to look for when going for a spinning fleece? That is other than, oh that is so beautiful I just have to have it! Have you noticed (I'm chuckling to myself since I fall into these categories) you have those who plan a project then look for fleece and those who look for fleece and then plan a project. So on to the characteristics:. Cara Mengobati Gus...

WoolNook: November 2011
http://woolnook.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Fiber/Wool Processing for the small homestead, fiber artist, and hobbyist. Tuesday, November 22, 2011. I am quite jocund today. I read the book: This Is How I Go When I Go Like This by Linda Collier Ligon. I felt like I was in her livingroom having a friendly chat, reminiscing and comparing stories. Here is a tidbit of the book. Do you relate to this? Quoted from: This Is How I Go When I Go Like This by Linda Collier Ligon. I will not buy any more little bits of fiber (unless they're really wonderful).

Fiber/Wool Processing for the small homestead, fiber artist, and hobbyist. Monday, January 3, 2011. It's been a while since my last post. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. May the New Year see you healthy, happy, and prosperous. So Woolen.Worsted. Let's keep it simple. Worsted PREPARATION of fiber is "combing". Usually performed on longer stapled fibers. Fiber/Wool Processing for the small homestead, fiber artist, and hobbyist. Monday, October 25, 2010. My first post. Had a hard time designing this one. The application just wouldn't do what I wanted it to do. The design in my head just would not come out through the application. So this is what I got. Eat out and my wonderful husband cleaned everything up. Okay I'm done with the pitch. Enough for now also. Talk with you on the next blog. PB Sterling WoolNook and Mill, LLC. Leigh's Fiber Journal: December 2012
http://leighsfiberjournal.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 21, 2012. Welcome to anyone who finds their way here. All my blogging these days is over at my homestead blog, 5 Acres and A Dream. Our old house has needed extensive repair and updating, so most of our time is spent on that. And the garden, and canning, and the goats, and the chickens. My loom and knitting needles are sadly neglected. Links to this post. Labels: excuses as to why Im not doing anything fiber-wise. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Friday, January 27, 2012. A Quick Sock Update. The Checquerboard socks are slow in the making. Just checking in with a report that not much is going on fiber-wise except slow progress on the Checquerboard socks. I reached a snag when I was ready to start on the 2nd sock. It seems I left myself no notes or details about the first one, not even what size I was knitting. So. I had to recalculate and hope for the best. It appears that I've become more relaxed since moving to the homestead. A Quick Sock Update.
