I'm a PhD student in linguistics at UMass Amherst. I work on endangered language revitalization and documentation, with further research on the PF-interface. Music is for living by. My primary instrument is the viola; I love string quartet playing more than anything else. Performance is not my primary musical outlet, though: I also change-ring, sing shapenote, conduct handbell choirs, study Balinese gamelan, teach theory and aural skills, compose in a variety of genres, and more.
