Last night gave calm conditions for today on Lough Owel so nothing for it but load up the kayak and get ready for an early start. Calm on Lough Owel. Shady spot for lunch. Yellow Steeple Sunset | All Seeing Me

My view of the world around me. So who am I? The Yellow Steeple is one of Trim’s famous landmarks. Perched high on the hill the Yellow Steeple reaches out to catch the sun as it sets for the evening. Jeez, that’s very poetic even if I say so myself. To be fair though, the photo worked out well enough and credit must go to the good lady wife Lorraine. It was her who spotted this was about to happen and she dragged me running across Porchfield to get into position. The Yellow Steeple catches the sun.

My view of the world around me. So who am I? In the wild western parts of Ireland the fields are divided by hand built dry stone walls. The stones were picked from the barren land to try grow grass or crops so the wall serves two purposes – clearing the ground and marking out boundaries.
