How to get there :. The Channel ports are within easy reach. The nearest being Caen at under 3 hours and Saint Malo at just over 3 hours. By rail: take the TGV to Vendome,Tours or Le Mans. You can then catch a train to Chateau du Loir, take a taxi, or by appointment we can offer a pick up service. Car hire is available from Tours airport and the TGV stations.

On entering the house most people are surprised how spacious it is, for those who are British, it is a bit of a 'Tardis'. Downstairs offers ample kitchen / dining/ living space with feature fireplace and stairs to the first floor. Upstairs you will find a light attic bedroom with a pretty Juliet balconied window opening to valley views. There is a tiled ensuite shower room with toilet and washhand basin.

Vauboin is a short 2 minute drive from Beaumont sur Deme, where you will find the friendly Meres Cocottes shop which also has a pretty terraced bar and restaurant. It's ideal for your morning fresh bread and croissants, as well as offering local produce, wines and day to day essentials. This beautiful unspoilt area is within an hour of many of the famous Chateau and Vineyards of the Loire Valley.
