If you can find sea scallops on sale, there is nothing more succulent to serve at a party. 1 lb large sea scallops: thawed, cleaned and cut in half. 1 pkg sliced hickory smoked or apple wood. Salt and pepper to taste. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Halve each bacon strip. Season scallops with salt and pepper. This salad is healthy, easy to put together and gorgeous on the plate. 2 large tomatoes, sliced horizontally (I use heirloom varieties whenever possible). 2 balls of fresh mozzarella cheese (packed in water), drained and sliced. 24 fresh basil leaves. Last night I was in the mood to bake something gooey in my ramekins and a co-worker suggested this incredible Alton Brown. Will keep you posted. Alton Brown's Baked Mac and Cheese. 1/2 pound elbow macaroni. 1 tablespoon powdered mustard. 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced. 12 ounces sharp cheddar, shredded. 1 teaspoon kosher salt. 1 cup bread crumbs. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir for about five minutes.
