One guy's view of Lubbock TX. Friday, July 12, 2013. Do the right thing LUBBOCK. Welcome Natalie Maines back to Lubbock. Honor her in the Buddy Holly plaza as one of Lubbock's great musicians. OK, OK, let me start out by saying, I'm relatively new here; I have been here only eleven months, not even a year. So I don't know the whole story; I don't know Natalie Maines; I've never met her family. So you can take what I'm saying with that in mind. When a teenager says to her mother, "I hate you, you're the w...

One guy's view of Lubbock TX. Thursday, May 21, 2015. To pass the time. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Friday, May 1, 2015. Ambiguous in the world of language vocabulary. Role on campus, so the question would be, can you ban them? Can you even imagine a campus without them? Can people live normal lives free of the entire institutions that keep them going? Are they in collusion to see how many lives they can ruin, on the way to ruining their own, or driving the name of the frat down into the gutter? Subscribe to: P...

Interesting Stuff for Interesting People: April 2013
http://eagliths.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Interesting Stuff for Interesting People. Stuff you might be able to actually, unbelievably, extraordinarily, implausibly, relate to! A function of Eaglith Services, my business. Weaves of Inquiry (excerpt from rough draft). The following is a piece written from the notebook that served as the outline to my recent novella, Weaves of Inquiry. Though it hasn't been professionally published, the file and physical rough draft still remain. If you are interested, throw me an e-mail. That's a good one. All the...

rearview mirror: September 2014
http://rearviewmirror2012.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
One guy's view of Lubbock TX. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Woke up to learn that the Red Raiders had lost but played fairly respectably, in Oklahoma State. But what, I found out while I was using the bathroom at the Market Street, their quarterback was injured in the process. As a loyal Red Raider fan, I hate. It when we have to run with some stringer for a while while this poor lad heals. But another side of me says, another victim of the crunch. This game wipes out more bodies than ISIS. I suppose the...

One guy's view of Lubbock TX. Thursday, February 26, 2015. I tell everyone stay off the Marsha Sharp; hills are the hardest. Hey, people in Iowa and Minnesota don't know how to handle those glazed hilly on ramps either. Staying off them is the best way. They shouldn't have messed with the groundhog, I say. I'm very superstitious. You diss the groundhog, what is he supposed to do? Six weeks of winter, that's not proper punishment, that's just the usual. But a couple of ice storms will go a long way. We ar...

One guy's view of Lubbock TX. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Now the Tech team, that's a different story. I work for Tech, I wear the red and black everywhere, I'm going to be for them on the weekend when Texas comes to town. People wear orange for Hallowe'en, and I said to them, how do we know you're not for Texas? Maybe our first two quarterbacks got injured, or just got exhausted. maybe they got the wind taken out of their sails, is how we used to say it. We get to watch all the other. We arrived in Lub...
