Ramblings: Caught in Midstream: October 2013

Friday, October 18, 2013. August 13, 2013. My ultra-cute, super soft, uber warm booties! After breakfast, we left the house to secure Lola's prescription for her injectable medicines in the town's health center. With her medical errands done, it was now time to give Lola a quick tour about town. Apparently, there is no such thing as "fries" in Britain. Just.chips. :). Interesting Cokes in Britain which had reminders on the tags. To share the bottle with someone. Bea got "Share a Coke with Sam,". Pigeons ...

Ramblings: Caught in Midstream: February 2011

Monday, February 7, 2011. Ever since high school, there was always one other person in school who supposedly looked like me. Now that I find pretty amusing since my own sister and I barely resemble each other and the closest people who supposedly share some of my facial features are my Tita Vilma and my cousin Denise. Who knew that law school would yield another person who seems to bear an uncanny likeness to my physical appearance? Good heavens, we even part our hair in the same way! Phibs and I both th...

Ramblings: Caught in Midstream: May 2011

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Slowly he lifted his hand over the bed rails, rested his palm over my right shoulder and closed his eyes. I tried so hard not to cry as he moved his hand back to the bed. I held his hand and he held mine back. We would be like this for the next couple of days, in a comforting - and comfortable - state of silence until his heart finally stopped beating. The song has always appeared to be innocent and straightforward but it is only upon closer examination that the last verse seems ...

Haiyan (Yolanda) hit the Philippines. The trusses on the right. Side were licked clean of the gavlanized roofing sheets. A tree. Fell on the left side of the church, causing the steel trusses to. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. 28 February 2012, 11 pm. So what does a girl do on the eve of one of the most important days of her life? Months ago, I imagined I would be biting my nails to nothingness and fighting off sleeplessness, all while leafing through my Bible furiously and perhaps waiting for some divine sign that everything was going to be all right. Tomorrow will be another gateway into something better. Posted by Amberle Brin. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. I didn't know my own strength.

krissy's porch: August 2009
http://porchofmydreams.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
August 09, 2009. It has been 2 months. But it feels like 5. I think of the months to come and a solid vine of loneliness grips me. I threw myself into family when they were around. That helped but it was still painful. I am too proud to let my mother see me cry but I was unable to hide during one of my sobfests in the US. Every word of comfort she said to me only made me cry harder. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wooden Boards and Paint Cans. The Studio: Blog for Ballet. Life Under Grace: My First Attempt.

Macho Diaries Part 1. October 29, 2012. So I present to you Macho Diaries case 1. Louis is an IT professional by day and a seasoned bass strutting choir member by night. I categorized his style into the American relaxed fit and lifestyle direction. He’s a Dockers and Rockport kind of guy. No slim, cropped pants and fancy cuts and silhouettes going his zone. I see no problem with that, challenge taken. 1 A great knit cardigan. A gray knit cardigan over a plaid polo and blue jeans with navy loafers. All pa...
