So this is a couple days late, but when our friends were over, I'd made this "cake" with peanut butter chocolate sauce. I have to say it's sinfully delicious! Saturday, November 21, 2009. 1/2 C black olives, sliced. 1 C heavy cream. 1 C chicken broth. 3/4 C dry white wine. 1 C Swiss cheese, shredded. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 C cooked chicken, diced. 2 avocados, sliced. 2 eggs, beaten. 1 T butter, melted. Saturday, November 14, 2009. Chocolate Oatmeal Caramel Bars. The recipe calls for Dutch process cocoa powder, which has a deeper chocolate flavor than regular cocoa powder, but either will work. Yummy and comforting. Happy cooking! 1 1/4 C old fashioned oats.

This was our dinner tonight, and dare I say it was a HUGE HIT with the munchkins! Ham and Lentil Stew. 2 C small diced ham. 32 oz beef broth. 8 oz dried lentils (this is by weight, not measurement). 1 C cut carrots. 1/2 C diced bell peppers. 1 small bag frozen pearl onions, thawed. 1 small bag frozen cut green beans, thawed. 1/4 tsp black pepper.
