Librarian D.O.A.: December 2014
http://librariandoa.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Librarian D.O.A. Monday, December 29, 2014. I thought I'd try Feedly again as a sort of bloggy news aggregator. I managed to sign up and pick some blogs. It seems that you can only pick blogs already on their list which is an annoyance. They also seem to want to guide you towards particular categories, and gardening wasn't one of them. I'll take a look at the tutorial but it looks as if I would be better served getting my blog roll back in shape. Librarian D.O.A. Links to this post. My first cane is:.
Librarian D.O.A.: I Am Princess X by Cherie Priest
http://librariandoa.blogspot.com/2015/07/i-am-princess-x-by-cherie-priest.html
Librarian D.O.A. Thursday, July 9, 2015. I Am Princess X by Cherie Priest. I was not sure what to expect from this book though I’d read about the basic plot before publication. I love the Clockwork Century books by Priest so why not? Libby Deaton and May Harper become friends in fifth grade when both of them have sit out Phy Ed for a time. Together, beginning with a chalk drawing on the playground at school, they create Princess X. Over the years, the girls fill notebooks with stories of Princess X.

Librarian D.O.A. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Scrapbooking DOA: Baby Announcements That Never Were. Although I meant to present my "family history scrapbooks" to my sisters for Christmas about five years ago (how time flies! They still don't have them. I was actually rocking along, mass producing the pages to be the same across eight scrapbooks so they'd be the same. I'd do a section on each sister/brother kind of giving a short overview in pictures of their own life. Enter my love of cutesy "vintage" clipart...

http://librariandoa.blogspot.com/2015/05/deep-question-of-day.html
Librarian D.O.A. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Deep Question of the Day! Almost live, fresh from my daily horoscope is the question:. Is it easier to forgive an enemy or a friend? My response is: An enemy. You knew they were evil and expected evil from them. Redemption is always appealing. Friends who need forgiving have betrayed that rare thing, Trust. Librarian D.O.A. May 19, 2015 at 1:18 PM. Hm, I see a possible plot point here. Whos the little fuzzy guy? Librarian D.O.A. May 19, 2015 at 10:17 PM. Though the...

I loved this book! I want to be friends with every single character! I want to move to Guernsey and live in a cottage by the sea! Each character has a distinct voice and personality and each is definitely quirky. Run, do not walk, to your library and check out this book- I guarantee you will enjoy it! And is off to a...

http://carolhashernoseinabook.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Carol has her nose in a book. Friday, September 24, 2010. Oh,what to read, what to read. The big day is Monday and my house is a disaster. I brought my suitcase up and am throwing things in it as I think of them. Packing for the unknown is such fun. I don't know how long I'll be away, where I'm going and when- this is not the way I live my life. My over-riding concern is what will I read in the hospital. I have checked and rechecked my bookcases and this is what I've come up with (for now):. That's the p...

http://carolhashernoseinabook.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Carol has her nose in a book. Saturday, June 26, 2010. A latecomer but, at last, I'm here. Working in a library, I request books on CD for people quite frequently. They all tell me the joys of a wonderful narrator, the companionship of a good book while spending extended hours in a car and on and on. Frankly, I'm not having it. But then. Yesterday, driving from quilt shop to quilt shop (3 in a day- heaven! I listened to it. I loved, loved, loved it! I'll never give up the joy of a book in my hand but I w...

Librarian: A Digital Media Mentor – Exploring the digital world to help inform children and caregivers
Librarian: A Digital Media Mentor. Exploring the digital world to help inform children and caregivers. June 16, 2015. Last week, when I first learned about the concept of developing a family media plan, I was thinking, wow, that’s so obvious, but why haven’t I done that? My husband and I have three daughters, ages 7, 9 and 12. We don’t have televisions in our bedroom, because as parents we don’t want our kids … More Family Media Plan. Dina's Deliberations
Wednesday, August 22, 2007. I enjoyed the 23 things experience but I also felt there was too much new information to digest in too short a period of time. There also wasn't a lot of technical support available, even though this was made clear from the get-go. I especially liked the wikis I saw, particularly for ALA conference newbies, as well as Library Thing which I now use as a Readers Advisory tool. What do I care, in the dreams and the languor of spring,. That my songs do not show me at all? The podc...

Wednesday, February 21, 2018. WIP Wednesday: Caron Cakes Faerie Cakes and Super Saver Minty Big Blocks. I saw a picture of a project on the Left in Knots blog of a charming hat pattern:. Https:/ www.leftinknots.com/home/2018/1/16/snow-drops-slouch-hat-free-crochet-pattern. I made squares that were a bit large (center and four rows of Faerie Cakes, one row of Minty). The color just unfolds so beautifully, and the Minty frames it so well. I'm going to finish this, but for the future when I get a Caron Cake...
