Ramblings of a deranged, yet adorable librarian. Its begining to look like Christmas. Friday, July 24, 2009. Our niece Layla is visiting from Texas and we thought you all might like to see some photos. She has helped out with the chickens. Here she is with one of the new chicks, they are about 5 days old and will be in the brooder in the garage for about 4 weeks. Here she is helping me rangle the meat chickens up for the night. They have a very uniqe smell on the first day of class, kind of how the high school gym smelled. Well, we finally got around to a little spring cleaning this afternoon. I have wanted to clean out our closet for the last month, but with work and school that just hasn't happened. This afternoon we decided to go ahead and do it. I can't believe how many clothes I have! Here is the closet as we started to clean it out. Full frontal view of the mess.

We picked up Bear on Tuesday night from the family who found him. They were extremely nice and we are very lucky that such a nice family found him and took him in. They are great people.
