Just a Test of the Emergency Blogging System. If this had been an emergency, the electrons in your computer would have given you instructions on how to proceed. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Update - The Piano Leaves my House. I own(ed) a family heirloom - an 800lb upright concert grand piano that is now an antique. Living room, where it remained for 5 years, until this summer it had to leave the house so that I could get new carpet and flooring. After a quick family consultation, we decided to do it!

http://shantastic-blogs.blogspot.com/2008/09/more-water.html
Just a Test of the Emergency Blogging System. If this had been an emergency, the electrons in your computer would have given you instructions on how to proceed. Sunday, September 14, 2008. So I decided to go out and take more pictures of the golf course today, while it is light out. I had to composite them together from photographs taken from inside the car (it is raining too hard to expose my camera to the elements), but I think you get the idea. 9 Haunted Girls: July 2008
http://9hauntedgirls.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Loosely about knitting, cooking, personal thoughts and reminiscences, and other ephemera. Sunday, July 20, 2008. I drive because I have so much money to burn. Not really, but sometimes it seems that way. This week NPR ran a story about how Tucson AZ has the lowest gas prices in the country. Meanwhile, the Pac NW seems to have some of the highest. But here I am, throwing caution and money to the wind! Not only do I commute by car 2 hours every day to and from work, but I also drive on my weekends! Because...

9 Haunted Girls: September 2008
http://9hauntedgirls.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Loosely about knitting, cooking, personal thoughts and reminiscences, and other ephemera. Friday, September 26, 2008. Today I made all the chiles I picked earlier this week into a nice green hot sauce! And I found these great little 'woozy' bottles at the local homebrew store this morning. Here was my recipe, of which I made 4 batches:. 3 - 35 cups coarsely sliced fresh chiles. 1/2 onion, coarsely chopped. 3/4 cup white vinegar. Boil these in a pot for about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add. I haven'...

9 Haunted Girls: Woodland Creatures
http://9hauntedgirls.blogspot.com/2009/06/woodland-creatures.html
Loosely about knitting, cooking, personal thoughts and reminiscences, and other ephemera. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I think this is the darling that started helping itself to my garden recently. As my friend Jenny says, it's a good thing they're cute. I've been spraying deer repellent to keep them from devastating my plants like they did last year. But poor thing, it looks so skinny. I kind of feel sorry for it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Recent reviews by Angie G. A Girl's Gotta Knit.

9 Haunted Girls: October 2008
http://9hauntedgirls.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Loosely about knitting, cooking, personal thoughts and reminiscences, and other ephemera. Sunday, October 5, 2008. It's been rainy and cool for the last few days, so yesterday I decided I would go hiking in the rain and mist at McLane Creek to look for banana slugs. That park is just as beautiful in the rain as it is in the sun, and I actually didn't get that wet hiking in the trees. I wandered off the trail at one point and almost stepped on this little guy. And so my attempt to reprogram myself to the ...

9 Haunted Girls: Eggs and other Adventures.
http://9hauntedgirls.blogspot.com/2009/09/eggs-and-other-adventures.html
Loosely about knitting, cooking, personal thoughts and reminiscences, and other ephemera. Sunday, September 27, 2009. Eggs and other Adventures. Recently and it's inspired me. Maybe it's that now I'm reading Amster-Burton's Hungry Monkey. Or maybe it's just an avoidance tactic for dealing with the real stress of the wedding. I'm not sure. Whatever it is, it sure tastes good. The poached egg comes out perfectly. There's a great tutorial on Chow.com. Without ever quite succeeding. Fan-freaking-tastic.
