http://librarianoutloud.blogspot.com/2014/05/bookworms-book-club-goldilocks-and.html
Where shushing is never an option. Friday, May 16, 2014. Bookworms Book Club - Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs! This was our last Bookworms Book Club meeting for the school year, and what a great year it has been! This month we read: Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs. This is a great example of a fractured fairy tale, putting a twist on the traditional Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We had such a great time reading through this book together because there is so much see! These made everyone laugh!

Lovin' the Library: Flannel Friday--I Spy Forest Animals
http://loventhelibrary.blogspot.com/2014/07/flannel-friday-i-spy-forest-animals.html
Friday, July 25, 2014. Flannel Friday- I Spy Forest Animals. About their forest animals storytime, but I adapted the clues a little bit. I'm excited about this activity because we'll definitely be doing a lot of talking and critical thinking. I also like this because, like Little Mouse, it's easily adapted to any theme or age group. You could definitely make the clues harder or easier depending on the audience. Is hosting this week's Flannel Friday roundup and it's her birthday so go say hi! Ethereal tem...

Librarian Out Loud: April 2014
http://librarianoutloud.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Where shushing is never an option. Sunday, April 20, 2014. Library Out Loud - Come draw with me. One of the programs that my predecessor had done was called Read, Scribble, and Snack. I can't claim any responsibility for this program other than the name change. It is fairly popular with my after school crowd though. Now I call it LOL: Library Out Loud (get it? After our blog name! The premise is easy. 1) Offer a snack, as this IS after school. 2) Offer drawing paper, pencils, pastels or any other medium.

Librarian Out Loud: The importance of free play in the library
http://librarianoutloud.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-importance-of-free-play-in-library.html
Where shushing is never an option. Thursday, March 27, 2014. The importance of free play in the library. My deadline for summer reading club programs is next week. For months I have been working the calendar to find a mix of paid presenters, movie showings, games, crafts, and wild-card activities for all age groups. This is exhausting and I haven't reached June and July yet! The Lego bin awaits! I didn't do any prep work for this program! I did no research or thinking about a theme! And the program start...
