Friday, October 05, 2007. Lucy in her buggy this afternoon with Lucien Bunny. Lucy has been smiling for perhaps a couple of weeks now. I got my first fantastic full-on smile from her in the early morning light as she lay on her changing mat. I asked her "are you going to give your Daddy a smile? And right on cue she obliged. Thursday, August 16, 2007. Lucy is now a day old. Already she looks a little different. Yesterday people often asked me "who does she look like? My ususal answer was "none of us"! I honestly couldn't say she reminded me of either of us on first inspection. But today she looks a little different. My friend has just picked up Oliver for a few hours, so I thought I'd write a quick blog as it may well be another six months before I get another chance. I have found this pregnancy. So much harder than with Oliver mainly. Who told me the IVF. Had not worked. The midwife said I am doing everything right, but she doesn’t see me scoffing my face with chocolate biscuits and crisps. No really, I have been better the last few weeks and have cut down on all the naughty things people say you can eat, but really deep down you know you will regret once the baby arrives.
