Life and the City. Wednesday, May 9, 2007. Three Hours in the Park. Except for trips to the California Academy of Sciences. And a boat ride around Stow Lake. As well as a recent visit to the M.H. de Young Museum. I have never explored the Golden Gate Park. With Monday's warm weather, a reminder of the fast approaching summer, I decided it would be the perfect day to go on an adventure in the third most visited city park in America. Life and the City: Stress less, even if for a few hours.

http://www.lifeandthecity-sf.blogspot.com/2007/05/stress-less-even-if-for-few-hours.html

Life and the City. Tuesday, May 8, 2007. Stress less, even if for a few hours. Do you have white hair? Are you a man? These were some of the questions two students asked each other at the Health Promotion and Services. Biannual Stress Less Day event on Monday at USF's McLaren Complex. Though these questions could make any young female uncomfortable (maybe even stressed), the query solicited more giggles than tears. You see, the girls were playing Guess Who? Other games at the event included: Connect Four.

Life and the City: the best part of waking up (early)...

http://www.lifeandthecity-sf.blogspot.com/2007/04/best-part-of-waking-up-early.html

Life and the City. Wednesday, April 18, 2007. The best part of waking up (early). Parking in the city sucks. There just aren't enough parking spaces to go around, especially around college campuses, like USF. Because of this, 2 hour time limits have been enforced on street parking. Money hungry entrepreneurs have caught on and opened up parking lots charging exorbitant amounts of money. Even the gestapo-esque meter attendants have realized that they can make a killing around the university. It must have ...

Life and the City: Alma Mater

http://www.lifeandthecity-sf.blogspot.com/2007/05/alma-mater.html

Life and the City. Sunday, May 6, 2007. For some, high school is not a fond memory. It is a place they want to forget, a time they pretend never happened. And who can blame them? Sitting atop a hill in Burlingame and spanning approximately 40 acres is Mercy High School. It is a private, Catholic, all-girls school run by the Sisters of Mercy. Aside from the usual high school facilities, Mercy also has a care home for retired nuns, a chapel inside a retreat apartment, a labyrinth. Posted by Christina Kho.

http://www.lifeandthecity-sf.blogspot.com/2007/04/exploring-at-museum.html

Life and the City. Monday, April 30, 2007. Exploring at the Museum. How far can the human eye see? Why do magnets attract? What is the speed of light? These are just some of the many questions the Exploratorium. Answers in their exhibits. Located in the Marina District overlooking the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, the museum of science, art and human perception provides visitors with experimental, hands on learning experiences. Life and the Art of Living

Saturday, February 20, 2010. Thursday, February 11, 2010. I went to see the Nick Cave exhibit at the Fowler Museum and had my Antioch University students meet me there. I came early so I could have my own experience of the show. I don't really like looking at art with other people when I'm taking the work in for the first time. But once I've seen a show it only gets better sharing it, as though it is a personal offering. Another student looks stoned, in rapture and we connect at an entirely new level&#46...
