Six Before Breakfast: November 2008
http://nittanyredhawk.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Where we believe the impossible for at least half an hour a day. Monday, November 10, 2008. Music is my king-sized bed . . . I can’t think of a better way to get over the pain of watching a national championship bid slip down the drain over the weekend than to hit up an awesome concert in a classic venue on a snowy Monday night. I’m off to Cleveland in a few hours to see Jack’s Mannequin. An amazing piano rock band that I was recently introduced to, performing live at a sold out Grog Shop. The first pict...

Where we believe the impossible for at least half an hour a day. Thursday, November 6, 2008. In Which I Try Not To Jinx My Favorite Team. Reading a friend’s recent blog post about her pumpkin salsa soup. I recalled that I had intended to post a picture of my own wanton pumpkin slaughtering:. The first picture is of my dad and I in front of Ross-Ade Stadium, the second is "The Boilermaker," a massive bronze statue standing near the Purdue athletic facilities, and the final shot is from inside the stadium.

Succumbing to peer pressure. Saturday, March 08, 2003. Posted by Megan at 7:37 PM. Oh, and one more thing. The previously mentioned friend apologized, so that was nice. Posted by Megan at 7:45 AM. Dreamed (again) that I was getting married. What does that mean? Posted by Megan at 7:42 AM. Thursday, March 06, 2003. And I don't really care if posting this rant makes me seem petty, no one else is awake around here and I needed to get it out of my system. Posted by Megan at 10:39 PM. Wednesday, March 05, 2003.

Succumbing to peer pressure. Wednesday, August 17, 2011. But I remember very distinctly, a few months, or maybe several months, into therapy, worrying that I was permanently broken. Feeling like I was broken. And the main worry was, how can I ever trust myself to handle this level of stress again? After three decades (ok, realistically, only a little over a decade of actual dating) my inclination toward self-preservation is quite finely honed. I'm going to have some work to do over the next several months (years? Quieting it down so I can see a good thing staring me in the face. And this is a good thing. Posted by Megan at 9:29 PM.
