carbon copy: life as an artist, wedding photographer and mama in woodstock: September 2011

http://lifeasanartistinwoodstock.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Image by Brian Ulrich. I am madly in love with photography and it does not take much for me to fall head-over-heals for an image. I can be a harsh critic but at the end of the day all I need is the right amount of light and I am melting away. Lets just say, I am an easy photo-date. That being said, every once in a while a body of photographic work goes beyond and ignites something so hypnotic and wonderful within me that I cant even explain it in words. Sounds intense, doesn't it? Image by Brian Ulrich.

I hope your holiday festivities were wonderful! This post is a little late coming. I meant to write about the conference.ummm.right after it took place. Unfortunately, life does not always agree with what you plan on doing. The conference events took place at RISD. For his amazing organization of this event. I missed the keynote, Spencer Finch. A few highlights from the talks include:. Sharon Harper (Cambridge, MA), Moon Studies and Star Scratches, No. 9, June 4 – 30, 2005, Clearmont, Wyoming, ...A wonde...

A great opening! | Woodstock Video Art Festival

https://woodstockvideoartfest.wordpress.com/2010/10/02/a-great-opening

Woodstock Video Art Festival. October 2, 2010. The opening last night was a huge success, thanks to the ceaseless efforts and enthusiasm of Keiko Sono, the inspiration and brains behind the whole thing! And many thanks to all the artists and guests who came out after the deluge. I was so impressed with the work in the show, and it felt great to be surrounded by so many talented peers with such a diversity of form and vision. Let’s do it again next year and expand on this vision! 8211; Dave Hebb. Fill in ...

Life as an Artistpreneur

Life as an Artistpreneur. Thursday, February 8. On the Eve of Six Months. We are just days away of Little Bird's half birthday and it all at once feels like this experience took a million years and that it also went by faster than anything I've ever experienced in my life. I feel like I'm going to blink and she'll be one. I don't remember our son's first year going by this quickly at all! She can flip over to her stomach and back. She can do a killer cobra pose. She laughs a ton. She loves afternoon walks.

There's just something about these warmer months that motivate me to brush off the blog and start posting again. Sunday, June 2, 2013. We had some friends over for a BBQ this evening and I whipped up this super tasty dessert in no time at all! Everyone loved it and it was gone within 5 minutes of bringing it out. Let me mind you that there were only 6 of us there at the time. The others missed out ;). All you need is 3 SIMPLE ingredients. Sprite. Fruit. White Cake Mix. Slowly pour 12 oz of Sprite over the top. Do not stir. Bake at 350 for 45-50 min. This is what it looks like when it is finished! Fat: 2.9 g. I came...

Life as an Au Pair

Life as an Au Pair. Monday, June 20, 2011. When we got home the sky looked pretty normal (at least from the backyard) and so I turned on the sprinkler to water the flowers for half an hour or so. One hour later, as soon as the girls were brought home from Isi, it was raining cats and dogs outside! That night after bringing the girls to bed, Maurice and I watched a really good movie: Die Vier Federn (The Four Feathers). That was a very well-made British-early 1900’s-war movie. Monday, May 30, 2011. But fo...
